A Short Course for Nurses
Our course is designed to provide ward/community nurses, and especially nutrition link nurses with the basics of enteral and parenteral nutrition allowing them to gain the knowledge and skills needed to safely and effectively care for patients receiving nutritional support. It is in no way designed to replace or contradict ‘in house’ courses and teaching, but rather to enhance and supplement them.
Whilst the course is designed primarily for ward/community nurses we will accept a maximum of two newly appointed nutrition nurses, and two dietitians/others on each course
Where national guidelines are available our teaching will reflect these. The course is led by an experienced lead nutrition nurse, and has been accredited by the National Nurses Nutrition Group (NNNG).
